
A Jamaica Plain neighborhood is reeling after the fatal shooting of a local resident late last Thursday evening. Boston Police Department reports that officers from District E-13 responded to an emergency call at approximately 9:35 PM, near the intersection of Craftson Way and South Huntington Ave., where they found an adult male who had been shot multiple times. The victim, later identified as 25-year-old Braulio Castillo, was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, as mentioned in an official Boston Police statement.
The circumstances that led to the shooting are still under investigation by the Homicide Unit of the Boston Police Department. Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward and make a report. In the effort to maintain community cooperation, the police have assured that the identity of anonymous tipsters will be fully protected.
