Residents of Keller and interested parties are set to have their say on two proposed developments during public hearings at the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting later this month. These hearings, the latest in a series of municipal developments, will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22 at the Council Chambers of Keller Town Hall.
The first hearing will deliberate the Masters of Barbering SUP, filed by Cody Perez, which seeks approval for a Specific Use Permit allowing for a new spa in a 1,711 square-foot space, part of a larger 1.4-acre tract at the corner of N. Main Street and Keller Hicks Road, as detailed by the City of Keller. The proposed site, formerly part of the Tommy Tackett Addition, lies within the Old Town Keller zone that could see new development, and residents can review the plans by downloading a map provided online.
Simultaneously, the commission will review a zoning change application requested by Joey Feste Jr., with Janet Sipes fronting the application, for the Mountain Blue PD, this proposition suggests transitioning the designation from Single Family Residential-36,000 square foot lot (SF-36) to Planned Development encompassing the same, spread over an expanse covering 10.6 acres, which includes several lots within the Mountain Blue Addition and parts of the Jesse Gibson Survey, all situated on Lambert Lane East, the specifics of which could be scrutinized by following a map link hosted on the City of Keller.
