The City of Duncanville has recently announced that Kevin Hugman, who served as Duncanville's City Manager from 2015 to 2020, is coming back into the fold, this time stepping into the role of Interim Assistant City Manager – Operations. This development was shared in a release from the City of Duncanville, outlining Hugman's new responsibilities and the city's expectations.
Hugman, whose tenure as former City Manager is marked by years of municipal government service, has accumulated more than 27 years of experience in this field. During his impressive career, he's held various positions, including those in the City of Southlake and the City of Wichita Falls before his initial stint in Duncanville. His latest professional endeavor before returning was as Senior Vice President at SGR, known as Strategic Government Resources. According to the City of Duncanville, Hugman's wealth of knowledge in organizational and project leadership are prime assets that City Manager Douglas E. Finch seeks to leverage.
In a direct quote from the City of Duncanville, Finch commented, "I am genuinely excited to welcome Kevin back to Duncanville. His extensive experience in organizational leadership, project leadership, and operations will be a great asset to us as we continue to move this organization and city into the future." Hugman will be tasked not only with standardizing operations but also with buttressing the Fiscal Services team through the audit processes for the years 2023 and 2024, collaborating with Human Resources Director Ashley Jacobs to initiate a new onboarding program, and supporting a slew of planned projects.
