A man has been taken into custody following a deadly altercation that occurred behind a smoke shop in Kissimmee, Florida, this past summer. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office confirmed that 24-year-old Jordany Ramos-Oliveras shot and killed 23-year-old Onyx Ramirez on August 24 after a heated dispute escalated tragically, ClickOrlando reported.
During a news conference, Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez detailed the events leading up to the fatal shooting, stating the argument reached a boiling point behind the Beyond Smoke Shop located at 4838 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, Florida, "The killer can be seen pulling out a gun and pointing towards the back of the victim’s head and pulling the trigger and killing him," Sheriff Lopez conveyed as detailed by WFTV.
After the incident, Ramos-Oliveras fled to Puerto Rico but was apprehended by authorities there following coordination with investigators from Osceola County, Florida, and was deported back to the United States despite his attempts to fight the extradition process that the suspect thought should help him out, but which was ultimately denied.
Currently incarcerated at the Osceola County Jail, Ramos-Oliveras now faces charges that include premeditated murder and discharging a firearm in public. However, the motive behind the murder continues to be under investigation, yet what we know is that it sprang from an argument between the victim and perpetrator.
