In a tragic turn of events this morning, a 41-year-old man from Kissimmee lost his life in a solo vehicle accident in Orange County, as confirmed by the Florida Highway Patrol. According to ClickOrlando, the collision occurred around 3:14 a.m. on Orange Blossom Trail, just south of Taft Vineland Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol detailed that the driver was navigating an SUV in the inside northbound lane when he apparently lost control, veering into the median and, after an overcorrection issue led the vehicle off the roadway then it struck a curb and a light pole before flipping and landing on its roof. FOX 35 Orlando also reported on the incident, noting the vehicle's trajectory and the man's inability to stay within the confines of his lane as key factors in the crash's escalation.
The unnamed Kissimmee man was declared deceased at the scene by responding authorities, who believe that the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The ongoing investigation by FHP has not yet advanced any conclusions as to the broader circumstances or potential causes that may have led to this fatal outcome.
