Lake Havasu City dwellers have a cause to celebrate as their neighborhood park reopens its gates. The city, through the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee, is set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Jack Hardie Park on October 7 at 9:00 a.m. Located at 2470 Baron Drive, the park invites the community to witness its transformation—sure to be a boast for local recreation.

After a period of closure that began in late August, the city has worked to thoroughly upgrade the park. Efforts were made to not only enhance but to also repurpose existing park materials. In a statement obtained by Lake Havasu City's official news release, improvements include "new playground equipment and a new safety surface." The city also took care to texturize and paint the park's concrete masonry block wall, install new safety fencing, and salvaged valuable components such as the shade screen and handrails.

Jack Hardie Park has long stood as a staple in the community, offering a variety of amenities. These include seven picnic ramadas, BBQs, a playground, horseshoe pits, and bocce ball courts, along with restrooms and a spacious grassy area for play. It's been a go-to spot for casual family outings and community gatherings alike.
