A 7-year-old boy was found shot to death in a Lancaster home on Thursday afternoon, an incident that has prompted a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigation. According to KTLA, deputies arrived at the 44100 block of Dahlia Street soon after 3:46 p.m. and discovered the young boy with a critical gunshot wound, tragically, despite efforts by the first responders, the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
Adding to the preliminary details, ABC7 reported that the boy, who did not live at the address, was visiting a friend at the time of the incident. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department indicated that no arrests have been made and foul play is not suspected at this stage.
