Yesterday morning in Lancaster City, an unsettling act of violence disrupted the quiet of the night as a man was shot through his bedroom window while he slept. According to Local21News, Lancaster City Police were called to the scene on the 300 block of South Anne Street around 2:31 a.m. following reports of a shooting. The victim, awakened by the sudden pain, discovered he had been shot in the hand.
While officers were dispatched, finding the man injured, reports by PennLive indicate that the bullet that struck the victim traveled through his bedroom window. During the investigation, police found multiple shell casings and bullet fragments near the victim's residence. Additionally, several homes in the block sustained damage from what appeared to be gunfire.
No other injuries were reported, and the victim was transported to a hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
