The incident, which occurred in the 500 block of East Sahara Avenue, resulted in the death of Richard Bason, 26, and injuries to a female companion, as reported by 8 News Now.
Police have obtained and released video surveillance footage showing the suspect both before and after the said attack. According to law enforcement, the victims were in a vehicle when an individual approached and unleashed several rounds into the car. This newly released footage is a critical piece for investigators trying to piece to unravel the sequence of the night's tragic events. Those with knowledge about the suspect or the incident are encouraged to step forward. The suspect has been described as a Black male adult with short dreadlocks.
The female victim, who survived the shooting, was transported to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The LVMPD Homicide Section is handling the ongoing investigation and is grappling with the task of bringing the perpetrator to justice.
