Local residents have a chance to make a life-saving contribution this week. A community blood drive is set to take place tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center. The drive welcomes individuals to donate blood and thereby directly support their community's health needs.
The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center has reported a need for approximately 1,000 donations every day to fully meet the community's demand. According to a statement obtained by League City's official website, "Each blood donation can save up to THREE lives!"
For more information on the upcoming blood drive, eligibility criteria, and to schedule an appointment, interested parties can visit the League City's official website. Walk-ins are also expected to be welcomed. As the drive approaches, the call goes out to all who are able to roll up their sleeves and donate, contributing to a goal that has tangible benefits for victims of trauma, surgery patients, and those battling chronic illnesses.
