
Lebanon, Tennessee, encountered transportation disruptions and emergency responses twice in a single day as a WeGo Star commuter train was involved in separate incidents, with the latter resulting in a pedestrian being hit. According to the Lebanon Police Department, the westbound lane of Highway 70 was closed near West Haven Baptist Church, and they investigated the scene where the pedestrian collided with the train.

The first of Friday's disruptions, reported by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, involved another train crash that occurred at 5:30 a.m., which fortunately did not result in any injuries. The Lebanon Police Department shared in an online post, "At this time, details are limited," reflecting the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Details about the pedestrian's condition and the events leading to the incident were not released. By 8:14 p.m., authorities announced that Highway 70 had reopened, allowing traffic to resume after hours of disruption. FOX 17 reported that westbound Highway 70 near West Haven Baptist Church had been temporarily closed, highlighting the severity of the situation and its impact on daily travel.
