Residents and commuters in Līhuʻe should prepare for road disruptions at Nawiliwili Harbor due to paving work starting today. The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) will implement single lane closures along Wilcox/ Kānoa Road, with contraflow traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and again on November 13 and 19, according to HDOT's schedule.
Notably, Kānoa Road will see a full closure with advised detours via Niumalu Road between the same hours on Monday next week and Nov. 12. For those planning their routes, full closures will also impact East West Road tomorrow,on Friday, and will repeat halfway through the month on November 14 and 15. Drivers being contraflowed can expect delays and are advised to plan their travel accordingly.
