Commuters traversing Lindsey Lane in Plum can now sigh relief as the Department of Public Works has officially completed necessary repairs and improvements, ending months of traffic disruptions. The traffic restrictions, in effect since March 20, were necessary for chip sealing, base repairs, and drainage upgrades—a vital undertaking for the nearly 3,000 drivers who use this route daily, as detailed by Allegheny County press release.
The recent completion not only signifies the end of traffic obstructions but also is part of a larger $5.9 million contract that encompasses improvements to eight other roads, which are also in dire need of maintenance and safety upgrades.
Now that Lindsey Lane is fully open, residents and travelers can experience smoother roads and better safety. The work done by A. Folino Construction, Inc. highlights the ongoing efforts to maintain and improve public infrastructure for everyone’s safety and convenience in daily commutes.
