
An intersection in Linthicum Heights became the scene of a serious collision on Monday afternoon involving a motorcycle and a sedan. According to Anne Arundel County Police, officers were called to Hammonds Ferry Road North and Ardmore Road around 4:20 p.m. following the incident.
The initial investigation, still under the Traffic Safety Section's purview, indicates that a 2002 Harley Davidson Fatboy collided with a 2023 Toyota Camry attempting a left turn onto Hammonds Ferry Road North. Riding northbound, the motorcycle struck the left side of the Camry. With life-threatening injuries, the motorcycle's driver, a 34-year-old man from Glen Burnie, was rushed to University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, both victims were wearing helmets at the collision time.
The Camry's driver, a 75-year-old woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. Transported, as well as a 14-year-old girl, the motorcycle's passenger, who also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. As of the latest update, the crash remains under investigation, with no further details about the cause or contributing factors released.
