The Livermore Police Department has reportedly cracked down on a series of residential burglaries, leading to the recovery of a significant cache of stolen firearms and the arrests of four individuals. The law enforcement’s Crime Prevention Unit was informed in early August about two people trying to sell multiple stolen firearms, which sparked a rigorous investigation.
Following extensive efforts that included serving multiple search warrants at locations including a Livermore encampment, a home in the same city, and another in Stockton, officers unearthed 15 stolen firearms, ammunition, high-capacity magazines, firearm-manufacturing components, 17 stolen bicycles, and a pound of methamphetamine. The items were linked to two residential break-ins during this summer in Livermore, per a statement by the Livermore Police Department.
In a recent operation, police arrested Yvonne Nolascobarajas, Ramon Vaca, Antonio Cruzmartinez, and Oscar Portillomaya, all of whom are facing multiple felony charges. The charges include residential burglary, grand theft of a firearm, receiving stolen property, and illegal possession of an assault weapon. Booked into Santa Rita Jail, the suspects' case has been passed to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
