According to a Facebook post by the Modesto Police Department, the events unfolded on Thursday, when officers responded to a call after a female resident had failed to show up for work, which sparked concern amongst her colleagues.
The initial call came in around 9:42 AM from Stanislaus Regional 911, after the woman's absence was noted. Officers were compelled to force entry into her home, thusly discovered the young male deceased at the scene. Found in close proximity was the female resident, deceased as well, with what is said to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, as reported by the Modesto Police Department. A handgun was situated nearby, but as of now, authorities have indicated there are no outstanding suspects.
