Yesterday morning, a man and his canine companion were the subjects of a precarious cliffside rescue operation near Bolinas. According to details shared by the CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations, the pair were reported trapped on a cliff, obscured by dense vegetation, which complicated their sighting.
The CHP's H-30 helicopter converged at the scene alongside Bolinas Fire and a Marin County Fire High-Risk Training (HRT) member. The Marin County Fire HRT member, after being lowered onto the cliff face, outfitted both the man and his dog in rescue harnesses.
Both were hoisted from the cliff and delivered to waiting Bolinas Firefighters, uninjured.
