A man faces charges of intoxication assault after a wrong-way collision involving several vehicles on Loop 410 in San Antonio. As reported by the KSAT, the incident that occurred shortly after midnight today near Austin Highway resulted in multiple injuries.
Driving a white Dodge Charger in the opposite direction of traffic, the suspect collided with a blue Audi, which then hit a white Nissan Murano, KSAT noted in their preliminary coverage. The occupants of the Nissan were hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening, although they were not critically harmed. Both the Audi driver and the suspect were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
The crash on Loop 410 led to the closure of nearby roads for several hours. "The SAPD investigation is ongoing," according to a statement obtained by Your London Calling.
