A fatal explosion in Choctaw has claimed the life of a man on Monday afternoon. According to FOX 25, the Choctaw Police Department alleges the incident involved an acetylene torch and occurred near 57th Street.
The explosion was powerful enough to quickly rattle windows in the vicinity, as neighbors reported hearing a very loud noise. The Choctaw Police Department speculate that the individual was potentially working with the torch on a vehicle at the time of the explosion, as reported by FOX 25.
In a further report by KOCO 5, the police said the man was working on his brakes with a torch prior to the tragic event. The identity of the man and additional details on the cause of the explosion have yet to be disclosed.
