A tragic altercation in Harris County led to the death of a man, who was fatally shot while attempting to forcefully enter the home of his ex-partner yesterday evening. The incident, which played out in the 9500 block of Willow Lodge Court, has sparked a police investigation spearheaded by the Harris County Sheriff's Office, according to FOX26 Houston.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that the deceased individual had arrived at the residence armed with a gun, trying to make entry. In a statement obtained by ABC13, it was revealed that on the scene, the man was shot, and subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The gravity of the situation was further compounded by the presence of at least one child inside the home during the confrontation. Authorities confirmed, though, that the child was not injured.
