The suspect was apprehended after a rapid response to a gunfire report near the Hamline-Midway neighborhood, detailed by the St.Paul Police Department. The engagement escalated quickly, with officers compelled to shoot the man who endangered them with a firearm. He is presently receiving treatment in a hospital.

The string of violence led to three deaths and three others to sustain injuries.
