
A man in his mid-fifties was assaulted and robbed at the corner of Hunter Street and Weber Avenue in Stockton's Civic District. According to the Stockton Police Department's Facebook post, the victim was approached by a man offering to sell narcotics, but when the offer was declined, the interaction took a violent turn leading to the suspect assaulting the victim and taking his property.
The police report detailed that the victim, 55, did not require medical attention following the ordeal which took place on the evening last Wednesday, the suspect has been described as a white male in his 20's but no further identification has been provided by authorities at this time. It's significant to note that this incident contributes to a daily total of 872 CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) calls received by the Stockton Police Department, indicating a heavy volume of incidents that law enforcement contends with regularly.
Residents and business owners are urged to report any suspicious activities to authorities as efforts continue to reduce crime. The investigation is ongoing, but the Stockton Police Department has not provided updates on the suspect.
