A 30-year-old man was seriously injured after falling approximately 25 feet from a grain storage bin in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. The accident occurred yesterday just before noon at a farm located on the 1100 block of 240th Avenue, in the Town of Brighton. CBS58 reports the man suffered serious injuries from the fall.
Efforts to quickly intervene and begin stabilization were led by the Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department and the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department. The injured man was eventually taken to a landing zone at the Brighton Town Hall to be able to expediently be airlifted to a hospital. A "Flight For Life" helicopter transported him to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, as confirmed by multiple sources including FOX6Now. Despite the serious nature of his injuries, they were not believed to be life-threatening.
Details on the circumstances leading up to the fall have not been widely disclosed. The man's identity has been withheld thus far, and no additional updates on his condition have been released since the statement obtained by WeAreGreenBay indicated the traumatic but non-life-threatening status of his injuries.
