A recent disturbance in the Birnamwood Blvd area led to the apprehension of a man with two substantial felony warrants. Constable Mark Herman's deputies responded to the scene at the 22900 block on Sunday, following reports of an unruly situation, where they encountered Barry Wilburn, according to the Constable's Facebook page.
The investigation on-site quickly turned a corner revealing Wilburn's deeper transgressions, it was found that he had outstanding warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. A statement from Constable Mark Herman's Office Facebook post confirmed the arrest: "Barry Wilburn was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants. His bond was set at $70,000.00 out of the 176th District Court."
Wilburn now awaits further legal proceedings, which, given the severity of the charges including the assault and illegal firearm possession.
