A manhunt is underway for a suspect involved in a fatal shooting in southeast Houston earlier this week. According to cityofhouston.news, Timothy Walker, 24, has been charged with murder following the incident that left 59-year-old Harry Boone dead on Tuesday.
The charges were filed in the 482nd State District Court after Boone was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound outside an apartment complex at 5910 Schroeder Road. The Houston Police Department's (HPD) Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective J. Meister responded to the scene. Boone was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics upon their arrival. Officials say that Walker is still at large, and is believed to be driving a black, 2019 Chevrolet Malibu with Texas plates #VCT1721.
A preliminary investigation suggests the shooting occurred after the victim was approached from behind and struck on the head while playing dominoes with friends. "The men exchanged words, and the suspect suddenly pulled out a pistol from his pocket and shot the victim," the cityofhouston.news report stated. Following the incident, Walker fled the location.
The HPD has called for the public's assistance to locate Walker, who remains on the run. They've asked anyone with information to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or to submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. A photograph of Walker and the vehicle he may be driving have been released to aid in his identification and subsequent capture.
