The Mansfield Business Alliance announces the return of the annual pre-Halloween celebration, Haunt The Block 2024, which will see a section of Downtown Mansfield transformed into a festive corridor of spooks and sweets. According to a recent post by the Mansfield Police Department, N. Main St. between Broad St. and W. Oak St. will be closed off to vehicular traffic to accommodate the influx of costumed participants and onlookers.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., just set against the backdrop of early evening when shadows begin to blend with twilight. Notably, road closures will be in effect from 4:00 p.m. till 9:30 p.m. as preparations and disassembly unfold. The public is advised that parking will not be accessible on the street between 100-300 N Main St and is encouraged to utilize the nearby public parking lots.
Haunt The Block is not just a tradition but also an invitation for the community to embrace the spirit of the Halloween season safely and joyfully. The event's footprint, specifically in the stretch of 100 N. Main St. to 300 N. Main St., will be a hive of activity with event-goers encouraged to dress in their spookiest attire. Additional plans include lane closures on Main St. leading into downtown, meant to streamline traffic and ensure safety for an expected increase in pedestrian activity.
