
Mayor Birney introduced the preliminary fiscal year 2025-2026 budget to the City Council on Tuesday, detailing plans that aim to foster an equitable and sustainable community in Redmond. The proposal, developed in concert with resident feedback, outlines strategic advancements for the city as it grapples with the burgeoning demands of growth and development. According to a statement detailed by the City of Redmond, the budget “prioritizes continuing to make Redmond an equitable, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable community.”
The city administration, keen on ensuring that the voices of its constituents are reflected in the fiscal document, has announced additional opportunities for public commentary. Residents can converse with council members and voice their concerns during two public hearings scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Monday, Nov. 4.
