The Memphis Police Department continues their search for a suspect who allegedly opened fire on a Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (MATA) bus last month. The MPD has released surveillance photos of the man believed to be responsible for the shooting incident that occurred on September 21 at approximately 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Frayser Raleigh Road and Calvary Creek Drive. In an image made public by the authorities, the man can be seen standing outside the bus while pointing a gun towards it.

According to Action News 5, the disagreement escalated on the bus, resulting in the shooter being removed from the vehicle before he discharged his weapon, grazing another passenger. The victim was transported to Regional One Hospital and is expected to recover from non-critical injuries. After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction and remains at large.

The suspect, described in a Facebook post by the Memphis Police Department as an African American male dressed in black clothing and black shoes, has yet to be apprehended, and the search continues. The MPD takes this matter seriously and is reaching out to the community for assistance in locating the individual.
