
Over the weekend, a carjacking occurred in Parkway Village, and the Memphis Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects involved, as shared in a post by the department's official social media account. The Action News 5 report describes that at approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday at the 2900 block of South Perkins Road, a man was approached by two men; one man brandished a gun at his stomach while the other aimed at his head.
The FOX13 Memphis coverage further explains that during the altercation a struggle ensued as the victim was held at gunpoint and a third suspect demanded he exit his 2022 Chevrolet Malibu, subsequently, the three men fled the scene with the victim's car, which has since been recovered. The incident, which was caught on video is now part of a broader appeal to the community for any information that may lead to the arrest of the individuals involved.
According to the Memphis Police Department, the first suspect has been described as a Black male, 18-21 years of age, sporting black jogging pants with blue undergarments, a black hoodie, and white shoes, and armed with a rifle. The second suspect also a Black male of similar age wearing black jogging pants and a red hoodie, was wielding a handgun. The third, younger suspect, aged between 16-19 years, wore a red hoodie and red multi-colored pajama bottoms. The authorities have made no arrests yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
