Halloween is approaching, and Mesa Public Library is hosting a Halloween Boo event for toddlers and preschoolers. The event will take place across four branches and invites children to wear costumes, bring treat bags, and explore themed activity stations. According to the City of Mesa, council members and city staff will participate in the celebration with the community.

Next Wednesday, activities will begin at 10 a.m. at the Red Mountain Library, with Councilmember Julie Spilsbury and staff from Falcon Field Airport and Mesa Energy Resources guiding children through the event. Next Thursday at the Main Library, Mayor John Giles will join teams from the Mesa Family Resource Center to welcome trick-or-treaters starting at 10 a.m. At the same time, the Dobson Ranch Library will host Vice Mayor Francisco Heredia, who will work with Mesa Police, Fire, Medical, and Energy Resources to launch the Halloween Boo Storywalk.

The new Mesa Express Library will also host the event on Halloween morning, providing preschool participants with candy, a coloring book on bike and pedestrian safety, and a book from Kids Need to Read.
