According to the arrest report obtained by Local 10, the horrific scene was discovered by a nearby resident around 3:30 a.m. yesterday, when they noticed blood and an open door, Nunez had surrendered to Hialeah Police following the incident and during questioning, he admitted to the shooting after a heated argument with his ex-wife.

Police officials stated that the victim was able to identify Nunez as the shooter even while drifting in and out of consciousness. She had sustained gunshot wounds to her torso, extremities, and buttocks. Nunez, after relinquishing himself to police custody, was found with a firearm believed to be used in the shooting and later confirmed his actions to law enforcement.

During further investigation, it was revealed by Miami-Dade police that Nunez had made a 911 call on the day of the shooting, claiming his involvement in the incident in Kendall he subsequently led authorities directly to the gun used, and he told detectives that he fired approximately four times until his ex-wife's body impacted a locked door, breaking it open, according to details from the arrest report.

Following his admission, Nunez was transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, were, as of this morning, he awaited a bond hearing for the charges he now faces.
