As the temperatures dipped in September, which were rather warm compared to previous years, the colors only vividly came into play later in the season. With that delay, it offered a window for locals and visitors alike to witness the splendor that sprawled across the territory, from "the mitten" to the Upper Peninsula, with patches of green conifers setting off the colortastic deciduous display.
