The Midlothian Police Department in Texas has issued a call to action for local residents following a string of attempted vehicle break-ins in the community. According to the Midlothian Police Department's social media post from the department, two individuals dressed in all black and riding a black Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, which features a distinctive green stripe on the gas tank, were observed attempting to forcibly enter parked cars early in the morning on Wednesday.
The suspicious activity was first spotted around 5:00 AM near Charing Cross Road and Onward Road. After a brief interlude, the duo was seen yet again around 5:30 AM, this time at E. Avenue F and S. 14th Street. In their wake, they've left at least one pickup truck visibly damaged after succeeding to break in and tamper with the vehicle's steering column. The Midlothian PD has asked residents within these areas to just double-check that their vehicles remained secure overnight and, if available, to review footage from home security cameras for any clues that might aid the authorities.
In their ongoing efforts to respond swiftly to this criminal behavior and to bolster community safety, Midlothian authorities are urging anyone with information or relevant video evidence to step forward. Individuals who can assist are encouraged to contact Sergeant Jose Rodriguez directly at [email protected] or to anonymously reach out via Crimestoppers at 972.937.PAYS (7297).
