On the morning of November 9, Milton's City Hall will open its doors to military veterans and their families for a sharing in a meal and stories of service. The Veterans Breakfast, starting at 8 a.m., is an opportunity to commune with those who've donned the uniform and their loved ones in an event that speaks to the heart of the local community's values.
Those interested in attending are asked to confirm their presence by emailing [email protected] by the end of the day on November 7, as detailed in an announcement by Milton's official website. The breakfast gathering promises an environment of mutual understanding amongst peers—an intimate congregation of individuals connected by the binds of shared experience in armed service.
Keynote speaker LtCol Jeff Davis, with roots firmly planted in the Milton educational system and extended service to nation, embodies the spirit of the event. According to the city's announcement, Davis, a Milton High School alumnus, brings a history of leadership and commitment, having served 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps including multiple deployments overseas and involvement in humanitarian missions throughout Asia and the Pacific.
Since his retirement, Davis has remained an active figure in North Fulton, taking on roles such as the President of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta. His post-service contributions to the area reaffirm that the ethos of service extends beyond the battlefield or airfield—finding its place in the continued work within the bounds of the local community. Davis's history includes positions of responsibility at the Pentagon and throughout the National Capital Region, marking him as a veteran whose experience spans both combat and strategic planning.
