In a startling incident in Milwaukee, a one-year-old child survived a fall from a second-story window. The fall, which occurred on Sunday was caught on camera by surveillance footage from a neighboring building. The video depicts a harrowing scene where the baby is seen nearing the window, maneuvering a leg out, before tumbling down onto the concrete sidewalk below, as reported by FOX6 News.
According to additional details from WISN, the incident was recorded by a surveillance system of a nearby store. After the fall, it took over three minutes for someone to come to the baby's aid. It was approximately 15 minutes later that first responders arrived at the scene. Then, the baby was transported to Children's Wisconsin for medical attention.
While the family of the baby has chosen not to speak publicly on camera or disclose the events leading to the fall, they have referred to the child's recovery as a "miracle." The Milwaukee Fire Department confirmed that the baby was indeed hospitalized following the incident.
At this time, no charges have been referred by the Milwaukee police as a result of the fall, with the Milwaukee police spokesperson confirming that Child Protective Services has been alerted, but the case seems to have been termed a "freak accident."
