The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for a vehicle connected to a recent armed robbery in Southeast D.C., reaching out to residents of the District for help. As per the official MPD release, the incident occurred last Saturday night, when assailants, reportedly brandishing handguns, accosted and assaulted their victims before making off with stolen property.
The confrontation occurred around 11:10 p.m. on the Unit block of N Street, Southeast. After getting out of their vehicle, the suspects demanded belongings from individuals, assaulted one person, and then fled. The vehicle used in the incident is now a focus of the investigation.
Authorities are asking the public not to engage directly but to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411 with any information about the vehicle or the robbery. The MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for tips that help arrest and convict those responsible for the armed robbery, which is classified as a violent crime under District policy.
