A late-night gathering erupted into violence in the 1200 block of Hodiamont, leaving multiple men injured after a cutting incident, as reported by St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The commotion, which began as an argument between two men during a party shortly before 1:00 a.m. yesterday, escalated when one individual produced a knife and stabbed the other.
Attempts to defuse the tense situation led to further injuries. Two bystanders, intent to quickly break up the conflict, were subsequently cut by the armed suspect. The aggressor then fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of injury and dismay. In the wake of the chaos, a 30-year-old man sustained a laceration to his leg yet refused medical treatment on site.
The encounter at Hodiamont became more fraught when two other men sustained serious injuries. A 24-year-old man was privately transported to an area hospital with a laceration to his neck and was later listed in stable condition, as per the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's account. Joining him in emergent medical care was an unidentified man, believed to be in his 20s, who underwent surgery for a stab wound to his abdomen and was labeled as critical.
The search for the suspect continues as police comb through witness statements and any available evidence. Those with knowledge of the incident are urged to come forward.
