
A serious car accident disrupted the flow of traffic on the H-1 Freeway near the Kunia Road off-ramp Monday afternoon, leaving multiple people injured, including a young child. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident that occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. involving multiple vehicles.
According to KITV, a 3-year-old boy and a 32-year-old woman were treated at the scene and subsequently transported to the hospital in serious condition. Furthermore, a 40-year-old man involved in the crash was taken to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Consequent disruptions ensued as emergency responders attended to the injured parties and worked to clear the crash site. As of now, no additional reports of injury have surfaced from the incident.
Further details on the circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash have not been made immediately available. The condition of the 3-year-old boy and the woman was of particular concern, given the reported severity of their injuries.
