Residents of Palm Beach County affected by recent storms will soon have a new place to access aid and relief services. Starting yesterday, the Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will move to the David B. Farber Training Center in Royal Palm Beach, located at 1050B Royal Palm Beach Blvd. This center will provide support through a collaboration of various government and non-profit agencies, according to Palm Beach County's website.
The center's move aims to better support those affected, with new hours from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The MARC will offer various services, staffed by federal, state, and local personnel, along with non-profit organizations. Agencies like Veteran Affairs and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation will be present to help register people with FEMA using tablets and laptops.
For individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated areas of the storm, the process of applying for assistance has been simplified. They can begin the registration for aid by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov, calling the hotline at 1-800-621-3362, or utilizing the FEMA App. A list of the available resources that residents can consult has been made available on Palm Beach County's website, ensuring affected folks know where to turn and what aid they can tap into.
The Palm Beach County Long Term Recovery Coalition, which includes partners such as the United Way of PBC, Catholic Charities, and The American Red Cross, will also be present to provide support and aid to those in need. For those looking to keep up-to-date with the latest developments and resources available to storm victims, the Palm Beach County emergency management's hurricane recovery page remains a crucial point of reference. Visitors to the site can view a list of resources and stay informed on the ongoing recovery efforts across the region.
