The Mansfield Police Department is celebrating the addition of a new officer to their ranks. Officer Zachary Boutwell was officially sworn in after completing his training at the Tarrant County College Law Enforcement Academy. The academy is an intensive 22-week program combining both classroom learning and active, hands-on training.
According to information from the Mansfield Police Department’s Facebook page, after the academy, cadets take the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Exam, and Officer Boutwell successfully earned his Basic Peace Officer License from the State of Texas, which marks the beginning of his career as a law enforcement officer. The ceremony was held, and Officer Boutwell was sworn in after completing the academy with flying colors.
The Mansfield Police Department expressed its pride in Boutwell's dedication and effort. "Officer Boutwell, we are proud of the dedication and hard work you've put in for this accomplishment, because it demands a great deal of both," read a statement from the department. They also extended congratulations not just to Boutwell, but to all graduates of Class #222 as they begin their law enforcement careers.
