A woman was arrested in North Las Vegas on charges of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing two other women on October 3, police said. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Synetta Harper, stands accused of the violent attack that occurred in the vicinity of Decatur Boulevard and Ann Road, as stated by 8 News Now.
Authorities reported that the two victims were walking along Decatur Boulevard when Harper purportedly stabbed them both at least once. After the stabbings, the suspect fled the scene, as per the information obtained by North Las Vegas Police Department. The victims were transported to the hospital and have since been discharged. Close to three weeks post the incident, on Tuesday, a team known as the Criminal Apprehension Team, located Harper in the 3300 block of North Decatur Boulevard, but, she refused to leave her apartment and, consequently, barricaded herself inside, as per KTNV.
The KTNV report details that this led to the dispatch of the North Las Vegas Police Department SWAT team, who managed to apprehend Harper after the standoff. Following her arrest, Harper was booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on a dual count of attempted murder.
