A deadly encounter in downtown Salisbury has left one man deceased and another critically injured following an early-morning shooting incident, police confirmed. The Salisbury Police Department identified the victim who lost his life at the scene as 47-year-old Donald James Krajnyak, reported CBS 17. The other victim was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where they remain in a state of dire urgency,
According to WBTV, the violence unfolded just before 3 a.m. in the 100 block of East Innes Street, adjacent to a nightlife venue. In response, detectives swiftly identified and arrested 23-year-old Alexus Burshell Bost, apprehending her roughly three hours later at a residence situated on New Jersey Drive, around seven miles from the scene.
In the aftermath, Bost faced serious charges including first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. She has since been placed in the Rowan County Detention Center where she is being held with no bond, as stated by WCNC. Meanwhile, the police department has initiated a full-scale investigation into the incident.
