According to News 9, Captain Valerie Littlejohn of the Oklahoma City Police stated that the deadly episode was not random, affirming that the public is not at risk.
With no suspects in custody yet, several individuals were detained and are undergoing questioning by authorities. "Those people then went back into the event center where the shooting continued," Sergeant Jon Skuta elaborated in a statement obtained by CNN.
