An Orlando woman was fatally injured in a multi-vehicle accident on John Young Parkway, according to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol. A sequence of collisions occurred when a Kia woman, driven by a 50-year-old Forte, failed to observe a red light at the intersection of John Young Parkway and Destination Parkway. The accident resulted in her death and left three others unharmed, ClickOrlando reported.
The crash report disclosed that the driver of the Kia struck a Toyota Corolla from behind, which was stationary due to the traffic light. The impact was substantial enough to propel the Corolla into the vehicle ahead of it, setting off the tragic chain of events. Authorities explained the injured driver of the Kia was rushed to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead, as reported by Pendas Law. The drivers of the second and third vehicles involved in the collision did not sustain injuries and cooperated with officials on the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting further investigation into the crash. They have yet to release additional information concerning the circumstances of the collision.
