In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s wrath, over a hundred City of Raleigh employees have stepped up to assist communities in western North Carolina. Their dedication to public service shines through as they commit time and efforts towards recovery in affected areas.
City Manager Marchell Adams-David proudly commented on the employees' response to the disaster. She stated, “It has been inspiring to see that people are not running away from the devastation, but our folks are heading to it,” in a statement obtained by Raleigh's official government news outlet.
While the exact number of City of Raleigh employees volunteering continues to evolve weekly, the anticipation remains that assistance will persevere for the foreseeable future.
