
In a somber report out of Jurupa Valley, authorities are investigating a fatal collision that occurred early Thursday morning where a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies arrived at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Camino Real following the call about the tragic incident, which resulted in the pedestrian suffering fatal injuries and dying at the scene.
The driver involved in the 3:56 a.m. accident was not injured, has remained on site and is complying with law enforcement as the investigation takes place into the exact cause, which as of yet remains uncertain, the pedestrian's identity is being withheld until family members can be informed. The road where the collision took place was temporarily sealed off to traffic between Tyrolite Street and Caleb Street, as investigators and the Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team worked to process the scene, as reported by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
