In a tragic turn of events on a Pittsburgh highway, a man lost his life after a minor collision led to a fatal fall from an overpass. The incident, which occurred on southbound Route 28 near the Etna overpass, claimed the life of 63-year-old Brian Sabock of Penn Hills.
According to a news release from the Pennsylvania State Police obtained by WPXI, the accident happened when Sabock's vehicle became disabled, barring the driver-side door from opening. In a desperate attempt to exit the vehicle, Sabock tried to escape through the car window but subsequently fell an estimated 35 to 50 feet to the ground below, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The aftermath of such crashes often raises questions about vehicle safety and the unforeseen hazards that drivers may encounter.
