Sponsored by Jessie's Light, BeCAUSE CULLEN, and the Plano Police Department, the event titled "Fentanyl is Forever: The Mental Health & Substance Use Connection" aims to disentangle the complexities between substance abuse and mental health challenges. The community gathering will take place at Chase Oaks Church, located at 281 Legacy Drive, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Giving their expertise as panelists to the discussion are professionals from the fields of law enforcement, medical, and mental health spheres. According to the Plano Texas Police Department, this portion of the program is scheduled from 11 am to 12 pm. In addition to the panel discourse, the event promises to be an educational hub with over thirty-five vendors, hands-only CPR demonstrations, and Narcan training, underscoring an all-encompassing approach to tackling substance use and its ramifications.
