
Port Charlotte residents can now return to their beloved local library. As of 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the Port Charlotte Public Library reopened its doors after being closed due to Hurricane Milton. This important community resource is back to its regular operating schedule, as reported by Charlotte County's official website.
The Port Charlotte Public Library, located at 2280 Aaron St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on most days, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Similarly, the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library has also resumed its regular hours, providing the community with more options for reading and study, as stated by the Charlotte County.
As the Port Charlotte Public Library and Punta Gorda Charlotte Library resume service, they symbolize normalcy and recovery following the impact of Hurricane Milton. The Punta Gorda library, located at 401 Shreve St., now offers extended hours until 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, providing more opportunities for patrons to access services. While these libraries welcome the public, the Englewood Charlotte Public Library remains closed, waiting to reopen.
