Port Richey experienced a tragedy early Thursday, as a 38-year-old woman died following a vehicle accident on Ridge Road. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, detailed by WFLA, indicate that the time of the incident at 12:52 a.m. occurred near the intersection of Lemon Road. Ridge Road, previously closed for investigation, has been reopened.
The Florida Highway Patrol, as reported by Tampa Bay Times, states that the woman was ejected from a Ford F150 during a left turn made by a 34-year-old Port Richey man. Subsequently, the woman was struck by an oncoming Kia K5, driven by a 21-year-old Spring Hill man.
Neither of the drivers involved in this unfortunate sequence sustained injuries, but the woman, whose name has yet to be released, was pronounced suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
